Why hand shovel snow – or push a snow blower in freezing temperatures when you can turn on your favorite radio station; sip a cup of coffee, and plow from the warm comfort of your half-ton truck. Maybe you’ve had enough of undependable snow removal contractors. Maybe you’re wondering: “Can I put a snow plow on my half-ton truck?” The answer is likely “Yes”.
Whether you just want “to plow my driveway” or “maybe help a few of my neighbors” or ”manage snow removal on my small commercial lot”, the HTS might be the right snow plow for you. Perfect for contractors and homeowners, the WESTERN® HTS™ snow plow is a full-size, full-featured plow designed for lighter half-ton, four-wheel-drive trucks. Engineered for strength and weight, this plow is ideal for personal and light commercial applications such as driveways, small commercial lots and parking spaces.

Why Western?
Located in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Western Products is the leading manufacturer of snow and ice control attachments with more than 70 years’ experience. A full line of contractor grade snowplows and salt/sand spreaders are available for commercial, personal, and light municipal snow removal. Western’s promise is built into every piece of equipment they make: “MORE JOBS – DONE FASTER”. Tim Wallace Landscape Supply has been an authorized Western dealer since 1998. We’ve helped hundreds of homeowners and small-business owners better manage their snow and ice control situations using quality Western products.
Here are some outstanding features of the HTS snow plow:
PLOW BLADE CONSTRUCTION
The reliable 14-gauge powder coated steel moldboard is 27″ tall and 7′ 6″ wide for rugged snow plowing performance without the extra weight. Consider adding the optional rubber snow deflector to the top of your plow to minimize snow over-spray back onto your windshield.
STRUCTURAL REINFORCEMENT
Six vertical ribs and the exclusive WESTERN® POWER BAR provide unmatched structural reinforcement, delivering exceptional torsional strength and rigidity to eliminate blade twisting.
The high-strength steel base channel provides extra support along the bottom of the plow blade.
The 1″ diameter pivot bolt secures the plow in place, ensuring proper alignment and reducing stress on the overall plow assembly.
RELIABLE HYDRAULICS
Western manufactures their own hydraulic components to ensure the highest standards of quality and reliability, so that you get a hydraulics system that’s not only fast and responsive, but that’s built to last season after season.
Fully enclosed components are protected from the elements.
Hydraulic “Scrape Lock” holds the blade down for more efficient scraping and clean back dragging.
TRIP PROTECTION
It’s not a matter of IF you hit something along the pavement as you’re plowing, but WHEN and how hard. The two-spring trip blade protects your snow plow and truck when striking hidden obstacles. Elastomeric bumpers reduce jarring and soften the blade return when tripping occurs, to extend the life of your truck and plow.
NIGHTHAWK PLOW LIGHTS
Available in both LED and Dual-Halogen models, NIGHTHAWK plow lights are engineered and tested for maximum light output, performance and durability to keep you ahead of the storm. The plow lights are automatically functional when you attach plow to truck and connect the 2 plow and truck plugs. When you dis-connect the plow and truck, your trucks headlights are again fully functional.
FLEET FLEX ELECTRICAL SYSTEM
The FLEET FLEX electrical system provides true fleet interchangeability. The same FLEET FLEX CabCommand hand-held or joystick control can operate any UltraMount® and UltraMount® 2 mounted plow on any truck at any time. This is especially helpful when you have more than one plow or more than one truck.
ULTRAMOUNT® 2 SNOWPLOW MOUNTING SYSTEM
The UltraMount® 2 system is designed for fast and easy installation and removal using a simple mechanical system. It features a robust one-piece design and is 100% compatible with UltraMount® system mounts and electrical platforms. The plow can be attached and be fully functional in less than 5 minutes and requires no tools. Removing the plow is also simple, fast and easy.
PLOW CONTROL OPTIONS
Choose between a CabCommand hand-held control with push buttons or a joystick control, based on your personal preference. For efficient, precise and intuitive blade control while plowing, both controls feature power “on” and “float” LED lights, backlighting for night operation, and easy plug-in connector for easy removal.
SECURITY GUARD™ ANTI-THEFT SYSTEM
The exclusive WESTERN® SECURITY GUARD™ snowplow anti-theft system is a safe and secure way to electronically lock your snow plow when it is detached from your truck as a deterrent from theft. Unlike physical locks that can easily be cut or removed, the system allows you to electronically lock the snowplow’s hydraulic functions, rendering your plow inoperable to unauthorized users.
ISOLATION MODULE
This advanced snow plow light and electrical system features improved electrical pins in the harness for trouble-free connections. An under the hood module improves system life and complies with OEM requirements. No toggle switch needed to change from vehicle to plow lights. Simply connect your plow and the isolation module takes over.
ULTRAFINISH™ BAKED ON POWDER COAT
The ULTRAFINISH™ baked on powder coat with epoxy primer is standard on all WESTERN® plows, providing outstanding protection against wear and rust.
SCRAPE LOCK AND FLOAT MODE
The WESTERN® Scrape Lock system locks the plow in any position you put it in to give you a cleaner scrape, especially while back dragging. With the plow locked in place, Scrape Lock gives you the performance of a larger plow without the extra weight and without the need to push any extra buttons. All newer Western plows can also operate in “float” mode. Float mode allows the plow to move up and down as you travel over bumpy or uneven terrain rather than being “locked” in place. Simply press and hold the “down” button on the controller to enter float mode. To disengage, you simply press the “up” button.
PRE-PUNCHED BLADES FOR ACCESSORIES
The blade is pre-punched for easy installation of accessories, (like the rubber snow deflector) providing a custom fit. The pre-punched holes also prevent damage to the powder coat that can sometimes occur when drilling to install an accessory.
Western’s 2-Season Warranty
Western stands behind its products. Western Products, warrants to the original purchaser of a WESTERN® snowplow that the snowplow will, for a period of two (2) years after the date of original purchase be free from defects in material and workmanship. Western Products warrants accessories, service parts, and components purchased separately for a period of one (1) year after original purchase to be free from defects in material and workmanship. Simply complete the online registration of your product after purchase to begin your warranty coverage.
