Mulch

Mulch

Landscaping mulch provides the finishing flourish to your landscape planting. The benefits also go well beyond beauty. Mulch in planting beds helps retain moisture, adds nutrients to the soil and protects your plant roots during winter.

At Tim Wallace Landscape Supply & Nursery, we offer you mulch in bulk, which saves you time and money. One cubic yard equals 27 cubic feet (picture a 3’ x 3’ x 3’ box). Each cubic yard covers about 100 square feet at a 2”-3”depth.

To determine how much mulch you’ll need, measure each of your planting beds in square feet (length x width) and add them up. To calculate the cubic yards needed to cover at a 2”-3” depth, divide the total number of square feet by 100. If you ever need assistance with estimating your material, be sure to let us know. Bring in your measurements and get your delivery on the schedule! More about our delivery service

Do It Yourself and $ave

You can pick up landscaping mulch with an open bed truck or trailer (please be sure it doesn’t have caps or racks, as we tractor load). One cubic yard of mulch weighs about 700 pounds. A full-size pick-up can usually hold two cubic yards; you’ll want to be sure your vehicle can handle the weight. (Please note that Tim Wallace Landscape Supply & Nursery is not responsible for damage to a vehicle during loading or unloading.)

If you prefer, we can deliver from two to 14 cubic yards of your mulch straight to your driveway.

The Bucket Program

Need just a little landscaping material – or maybe just a little more? This program is for you! Bring your own container (e.g. five-gallon bucket, flat rectangular recycle bin, 33-gallon trash can) and load your own decorative stone, construction material or mulch.
